Very leafy orchid, if you water it with this it will be 10 times more beautiful

If you’re referring to the

viral claim that a leafy orchid will become “10 times more beautiful” if watered with a particular homemade mixture, be cautious. There

isn’t a magic liquid that reliably produces that result.

For healthier orchids, especially Phalaenopsis, the basics matter much more:

  • 💧 Water thoroughly but don’t leave the roots sitting in water. Let excess water drain completely.
  • 🌱 Use an orchid potting medium such as bark rather than ordinary garden soil.
  • ☀️ Give it bright, indirect light. Too little light can mean lots of leaves but few flowers.
  • 🌡️ Keep it somewhere warm with reasonable air circulation and avoid sudden temperature extremes.
  • 🌿 Fertilize lightly with a fertilizer intended for orchids during active growth rather than relying on kitchen remedies.
  • ✂️ Remove dead or diseased roots/leaves with clean tools.

What about garlic, vinegar, rice water, milk, etc.?

These internet remedies are often presented as secret orchid fertilizers, but evidence for dramatic benefits is lacking. Vinegar in particular can damage roots if the concentration is too high, and sugary mixtures can encourage microbial growth.

If you show me a photo of your orchid, I can identify what type it appears to be and tell you exactly how to water and fertilize it for more leaves and flowers.
