Don’t stop atorvastatin on your own simply because you’ve developed a possible side effect. Your clinician can determine whether the medication is responsible and may adjust the dose, change the statin, or consider another treatment. Also tell your prescriber about all other medicines and supplements because some combinations can substantially increase the risk of muscle toxicity.
