People with this ear hole have… See more

If you mean the small hole or opening in front of the ear, near where the ear meets the face, it may be a preauricular pit (preauricular sinus).

What does having one mean?

  • It is usually a congenital feature, meaning you’re born with it.
  • Most people with a preauricular pit have no health problems from it and don’t need treatment.
  • It can occasionally become infected, causing pain, redness, swelling, or pus/drainage. Cleveland Clinic
  • Repeated infections may require evaluation by an ENT specialist and, in some cases, surgical removal of the tract.

It does not mean that a person has a special personality, unusually high intelligence, or a particular destiny, despite some viral social-media claims.

If by “ear hole” you mean a hole in the eardrum, that’s completely different. A perforated eardrum can cause hearing loss, drainage, ringing, or dizziness and should be medically evaluated. Cleveland Clinic+1

If you send me a photo showing exactly where the hole is, I can tell you which type you’re probably referring to.
