Just 1 tablespoon in the morning loosens “stuck stool” and reduces belly bloat!

If you’re referring to the viral claim that “one tablespoon every morning” can loosen stuck stool and reduce bloating, the ingredient is often ground flaxseed, chia seeds, or a fiber supplement.

There is some truth behind the idea, but the headline is exaggerated.

Fiber can help constipation by increasing stool bulk and changing its consistency.
Ground flaxseed can be useful because it provides both fiber and mucilage (gel-forming fiber).
Chia seeds also provide substantial fiber, but they should be consumed with adequate fluid.
Psyllium husk is one of the better-studied fiber supplements for constipation.
Start with a small amount and increase gradually to avoid gas and bloating.
Fiber needs adequate fluid to work properly; taking a large amount while dehydrated can actually make constipation worse.

Also, there isn’t really a medical condition called “stuck stool” that one tablespoon will reliably fix. Severe constipation or fecal impaction may require medical treatment.

If constipation is accompanied by severe abdominal pain, vomiting, significant swelling, blood in the stool, or inability to pass stool or gas, seek medical care rather than trying a home remedy.
