That headline is misleading if it suggests there is one vitamin that fixes “dead feet” or heavy calves.
“Dead feet” could mean numbness, tingling, weakness, or a pins-and-needles sensation, and these can have many causes. Vitamin deficiencies—particularly vitamin B12 deficiency—can cause nerve symptoms, but taking B12 won’t necessarily help unless deficiency is actually present.
Other possibilities include:
-
Poor circulation
-
Nerve compression or neuropathy
-
Diabetes
-
Certain medications
-
Electrolyte problems
-
Muscle overuse or venous problems
-
Problems involving the spine
Heavy or swollen calves are also not automatically a vitamin deficiency. If one calf suddenly becomes swollen, painful, warm, or red—especially with shortness of breath or chest pain—seek urgent medical care.
So I wouldn’t recommend taking a “leg vitamin” based solely on that headline. If you tell me what vitamin the article is promoting, I can explain whether the claim is supported by evidence.
