Dump a whole pork tenderloin in the slow cooker with 3 simple ingredients and your husband will swear you spent all day cooking.

3-Ingredient Slow-Cooker Pork Tenderloin

Tender, savory, and very little work. One important tip: pork tenderloin is leaner and smaller than pork shoulder, so it can become dry if cooked for too long.

Ingredients

  • 1½–2 lb (700–900 g) pork tenderloin
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ½ cup chicken broth

Directions

  1. Pat the pork tenderloin dry and place it in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the chicken broth around the pork and spread the barbecue sauce over the top.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for about 2–3 hours, checking the internal temperature toward the end.
  4. Remove when the thickest part reaches 145°F (63°C), then let it rest for at least 3 minutes.
  5. Slice and spoon the sauce over the pork.

⭐ Make it even better

For a deeper flavor, quickly sear the tenderloin in a hot skillet before putting it in the slow cooker. That’s optional, though—the recipe still works without it.

Don’t use the typical 6–8 hour slow-cooker timing for pork tenderloin. That’s more appropriate for tougher cuts such as pork shoulder; tenderloin can dry out with prolonged cooking.

Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, or skillet corn for an easy comfort-food dinner.
