🍗 Easy 4-Ingredient Baked Chicken Tenderloins
For a simple family dinner, try this 4-ingredient version:
Ingredients
1½ lb (680 g) chicken tenderloins
½ cup salsa
½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
1 packet taco seasoning
Method
Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Place the raw chicken tenderloins in a greased oven-safe glass casserole dish.
Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken.
Spoon the salsa over the top and spread it out.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part. Depending on the size of the tenderloins, this will often take around 20–30 minutes, but use a food thermometer rather than relying only on time.
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, salad, or tortillas.
Food-safety note: Don’t rinse raw chicken, and wash your hands, utensils, and surfaces after handling it. If your glass baking dish is cold, don’t put it directly into a very hot oven because sudden temperature changes can cause some glass cookware to break.
