Orchids: Just 1 tablespoon and they will bloom non-stop – a powerful fertilizer

If you’re referring to the viral claim that “1 tablespoon of a certain ingredient will make orchids bloom nonstop,” be cautious. There is no single household ingredient proven to make orchids bloom continuously.

For healthier flowering:

Use a balanced orchid fertilizer at the manufacturer’s recommended dilution rather than concentrated homemade mixtures.
Give the orchid bright, indirect light; insufficient light is a common reason orchids don’t rebloom.
Water thoroughly, then allow the growing medium to partly dry before watering again. Don’t leave the roots sitting in stagnant water.
Good airflow and appropriate temperature differences between day and night can encourage flowering in some orchids.
Avoid dumping sugar, baking soda, vinegar, coffee grounds, or undiluted fertilizer into the pot—these can damage roots or disrupt the growing medium.

If you tell me what the “1 tablespoon” ingredient is (banana peel, rice water, cinnamon, Epsom salt, etc.), I can tell you whether the claim is actually useful or likely to harm the orchid.
