7 Vaseline DIY’s For a Wrinkle Free, Clear & Glowing Skin…..

If you’re looking for 7 Vaseline-based skincare ideas, it’s worth separating realistic benefits from social-media claims. Petroleum jelly is an excellent occlusive moisturizer that reduces water loss from the skin, but it hasn’t been shown to erase wrinkles or clear acne by itself.

7 simple Vaseline uses
Seal in moisturizer — Apply a very thin layer of petroleum jelly over your regular moisturizer at night, especially on dry areas.
Dry lips — Use a small amount as a protective barrier for chapped lips.
Dry hands — Apply moisturizer first, then a thin layer of Vaseline before bed.
Rough elbows and knees — Massage it onto damp skin to help lock in moisture.
Dry cuticles — Rub a little around the nails overnight.
Protect irritated skin from friction — A thin layer can reduce rubbing and chafing.
Overnight facial moisturizing — If your skin is very dry and acne-prone areas aren’t a problem, a thin layer over moisturizer can help prevent overnight moisture loss.
What about wrinkles and acne?

Vaseline doesn’t stimulate collagen or remove wrinkles. By keeping skin hydrated, it can temporarily make fine lines look less noticeable.

It also isn’t an acne treatment. Because it is highly occlusive, putting thick layers over acne-prone skin or trapping other products underneath may be uncomfortable and can aggravate some people’s breakouts.

For genuinely evidence-based anti-aging care, daily broad-spectrum sunscreen and a retinoid such as retinol have considerably more evidence than DIY Vaseline mixtures.
