To see someone’s true character, observe just these 2 things…. Details in the first comment

Two Things That Can Reveal a Lot About Someone’s Character

There isn’t a scientifically proven “two-question test” that can reveal someone’s true character. But if you’re looking for useful clues about how a person really behaves, pay attention to these:

How they treat people who can’t do anything for them.
Watch how they behave toward waiters, cleaners, strangers, elderly people, or anyone they don’t need to impress. Consistent respect without an obvious benefit can tell you more than charm or flattering words.

How they behave when things don’t go their way.
Disappointment, criticism, conflict, and mistakes reveal how someone handles frustration. Look for whether they can take responsibility, listen, apologize, and control their behavior—or whether they routinely blame, humiliate, threaten, or manipulate others.

One important caveat

Don’t judge someone’s entire character from one bad day or one interaction. Stress, illness, grief, or difficult circumstances can temporarily change behavior. Look for patterns over time, especially when the person has nothing to gain from behaving well.

In short: watch how they treat people they don’t need, and watch how they act when they don’t get what they want.
