If you’re fact-checking the claim “One vitamin opens blood vessels and improves circulation,” the vitamin most often being referred to is niacin (vitamin B3).
Niacin can cause vasodilation and flushing, and some studies have found improvements in measures of endothelial function. However, that doesn’t mean taking niacin supplements is a proven way to improve circulation or prevent heart disease.

Importantly, high-dose niacin should not be taken simply for “better circulation.” Large doses can cause flushing, dizziness, liver problems, increased blood sugar, and other adverse effects. NIH also notes that high-dose niacin hasn’t been shown to reduce cardiovascular events when added to statin therapy.
