3. CT colonography (“virtual colonoscopy”)
This uses CT imaging rather than inserting a conventional colonoscope through the entire colon. However, if a suspicious polyp is found, a conventional colonoscopy may still be necessary to remove or biopsy it.
Why colonoscopy still matters
