My nana taught me this hack to make dusty blinds sparkle in 2 mins with 0 work. Here’s how it works

If you’re looking for the full hack behind that viral-style caption, here’s a simple version:

2-minute dusty-blind cleaning hack

You’ll need:

  • 1 microfiber cloth or clean old sock

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar

  • A pair of tongs or your hand

How to do it:

  1. Mix the warm water and vinegar.

  2. Dip the microfiber cloth into the mixture and wring it out very well—it should be damp, not dripping.

  3. Wrap the cloth around a pair of kitchen tongs and secure it, or put the cloth over your hand.

  4. Gently wipe each blind slat from one end to the other. The damp microfiber grabs dust instead of sending it into the air.

  5. Finish with a dry microfiber cloth if the slats feel damp.

Quick trick: Work from the top slat downward so dust falling from above doesn’t dirty areas you already cleaned.

⚠️ Important: Don’t use vinegar on blinds made from materials that can be damaged by acids (such as some natural stone-coated or specialty finishes). For delicate blinds, plain water is the safer choice.
