If you have a heart attack at home, do this in 10 seconds and you can save your life.(1 / 2)

If You Think You’re Having a Heart Attack, Act Fast

Heart attack symptoms can include chest pressure or pain, shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, or pain in the arm, back, neck, or jaw.

The first thing to do is call your local emergency number immediately. Do not wait to see if the symptoms go away or drive yourself to the hospital.

While waiting for emergency help, stay as calm as possible and follow the emergency operator’s instructions. For an alert adult with non-traumatic chest pain, aspirin may be appropriate in some situations, but only if there is no known aspirin allergy or medical advice against taking it.

Remember: Minutes matter. Getting emergency treatment quickly can save a life.
