That claim is misleading. No boiled drink can “dry up” belly fat, and there’s no evidence that drinking a particular water preparation once a day selectively burns abdominal fat.

Belly-Fat Myth

Drink this once a day? It won’t magically melt belly fat—but here’s what actually helps.

You may have seen claims that boiling a particular ingredient for 10 minutes and drinking the resulting water can “burn” or “dry up” belly fat. Unfortunately, there’s no magic drink that targets abdominal fat.

Healthy weight loss comes from sustainable habits such as:

  • Eating mostly minimally processed, nutrient-dense foods
  • Getting enough protein and fiber
  • Regular walking and other physical activity
  • Strength training to maintain muscle
  • Getting adequate sleep
  • Keeping portions and overall calorie intake appropriate for your needs

Unsweetened water or herbal tea can certainly be part of a healthy routine—but it doesn’t directly dissolve belly fat.

If a drink promises effortless fat loss, be skeptical. Your body doesn’t need a detox water to burn fat.
