If you’re connecting bay leaf and clove tea with the claim that it can prevent cancer or prevent cancer-related vision loss, there isn’t good clinical evidence to support that claim.
Bay leaves and cloves can be used to make a pleasant herbal tea, but they are not a treatment for cancer and should never replace cancer treatment.
🌿 Simple bay leaf & clove tea
1–2 dried bay leaves
2–3 whole cloves
1½ cups water
Simmer for 5–10 minutes, strain, and drink warm. Honey can be added for taste.
The ingredients contain antioxidant compounds, but laboratory antioxidant activity doesn’t mean the tea prevents or cures cancer.
If someone has cancer—especially if they’re experiencing new vision changes, eye pain, or vision loss—they should contact their medical team promptly rather than relying on herbal tea.
