🚨 Remember BE FAST
B — Balance: sudden loss of balance or coordination
E — Eyes: sudden vision changes
F — Face: facial drooping
A — Arm: weakness or numbness
S — Speech: difficulty speaking or understanding
T — Time: call emergency medical services immediately
Don’t wait to see whether symptoms improve. Even if the symptoms disappear after a few minutes, they could indicate a transient ischemic attack (TIA), which requires urgent medical evaluation.
When calling for emergency help, note the time symptoms began—or the last time the person was known to be normal. Don’t drive the person yourself if emergency medical transport is available.
