At 73, I regenerated my fatty liver, eliminated joint pain and arthritis, improved my lungs, and regained my energy thanks to this remedy.

“At 73, I Regenerated My Fatty Liver, Eliminated Arthritis and Got My Energy Back” — What’s the Real Story?

This kind of headline is very likely overstating what one “remedy” can accomplish. There is no single food, herb, tea, or homemade mixture proven to simultaneously regenerate a fatty liver, eliminate arthritis, improve lung function, and restore energy.

🫀 Fatty liver can improve—but usually through an overall approach

For people with overweight or obesity and metabolic fatty liver disease (MASLD), gradual weight loss, healthy eating and physical activity can reduce liver fat. Losing about 3–5% of body weight can reduce liver fat, while greater weight loss may improve liver inflammation and fibrosis. Physical activity can also help even without weight loss.

That is very different from claiming a particular remedy “regenerates” the liver.

🦵 What about arthritis?

Arthritis isn’t one disease, and there isn’t a drink or remedy that simply eliminates it. For osteoarthritis, exercise is one of the best-supported treatments for reducing pain and improving function; weight loss can also help people who have excess weight.

🫁 And improved lung health and energy?

Feeling more energetic after becoming more active, improving sleep, losing excess weight, or eating better is certainly possible. But improved energy doesn’t prove that a particular remedy repaired the lungs. Persistent breathlessness, fatigue or reduced exercise tolerance deserves an evaluation rather than self-treatment.

⚠️ Be especially careful with “natural” remedies

Some supplements marketed for fatty liver can actually injure the liver or interact with medications. NIDDK specifically recommends discussing supplements and alternative treatments with a healthcare professional.
