My mom taught me this trick to diminish dark age spots on my hands in just 3 mins with 0 effort. Here’s how it works

If you want to turn this into a health/beauty post, I’d avoid promising that age spots can disappear in 3 minutes. A more accurate version is:

My Mom Taught Me This Simple Trick to Make Dark Spots on Your Hands Look Less Noticeable

Age spots—also called solar lentigines—usually develop from years of sun exposure. They don’t disappear permanently after a few minutes, but you can make your hands look more even-toned with a simple routine.

A 3-minute routine

  1. Wash your hands gently and pat them dry.
  2. Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer to soften and hydrate the skin.
  3. Finish with broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen on the backs of your hands. This is the most important step because continued UV exposure can darken existing spots and contribute to new ones.

For gradual improvement, ingredients such as vitamin C, niacinamide, or a retinoid may help fade pigmentation over time. Results generally take weeks to months, not minutes.

⚠️ Don’t use lemon juice, bleach, or harsh scrubs to try to remove dark spots. They can irritate or burn the skin and potentially make pigmentation worse.

If a spot is new, rapidly changing, irregular, very dark, bleeding, crusting, or doesn’t heal, have it examined by a dermatologist rather than assuming it’s simply an age spot.
