There Isn’t a Single Vitamin That Reliably Eliminates Swollen Legs
Swollen legs and ankles (edema) can have many causes, and taking a vitamin without knowing the cause may not help.
Possible causes include:
- Standing or sitting for long periods
- Excess salt intake
- Certain medications, including some blood-pressure medicines
- Vein problems such as chronic venous insufficiency
- Heart, kidney, or liver disease
- A blood clot, particularly when swelling is sudden and affects one leg

🚨 Don’t ignore sudden swelling
Seek urgent medical attention if one leg suddenly becomes swollen, painful, warm, or red, particularly if you also develop chest pain or shortness of breath.
If swelling is persistent or getting worse, a healthcare professional should determine the cause before you try supplements or “natural” remedies.
