Very dirty mop, do not buy it again: a drop of this ingredient and it will be as good as new again

Very Dirty Mop? Don’t Throw It Away Yet!

If your mop has become gray, greasy, or smelly, a good deep clean may bring it back to life.

The Simple Trick

You’ll need:

  • Warm water
  • A little liquid laundry detergent or dish soap
  • A bucket
  • An old toothbrush or small scrub brush

How to Clean It

  1. Rinse the mop thoroughly to remove loose dirt.
  2. Fill a bucket with warm water and add a small amount of detergent.
  3. Soak the mop head for about 15–30 minutes.
  4. Gently scrub stubborn stains with a brush.
  5. Rinse several times until the water runs clear.
  6. Squeeze out excess water and allow the mop to dry completely in a well-ventilated place.

One Important Warning

Don’t mix bleach with vinegar, ammonia, or other household cleaners. Dangerous fumes can result.

Also check the manufacturer’s care instructions, especially for microfiber mop heads.

Bottom line: A little detergent, warm water, and a thorough rinse can often make a dirty mop fresh and usable again—so you may not need to buy a new one.
