If these are white or cloudy cup rings on a wooden table, they’re often moisture trapped in the finish rather than permanent damage.
Try this first:
Wipe the area clean and let it dry completely.
Put a clean, dry cotton cloth over the stain.
Use a hair dryer on its lowest heat setting, held several inches away.
Move it constantly over the area for 30–60 seconds, checking frequently.
Stop if the finish becomes hot or changes appearance.
You can also try gently rubbing a little plain petroleum jelly over a white moisture ring, leaving it for several hours, then wiping it off—but test an inconspicuous spot first.
Avoid: sanding, bleach, vinegar, toothpaste, or aggressive scrubbing until you know what finish the table has.
