Do this and your geraniums will be able to bloom almost continuously for over a year.

If you’re turning this into a gardening tip, I’d avoid promising that one trick will make geraniums bloom continuously for over a year. Blooming depends on the variety, light, temperature, watering, nutrition, and seasonal conditions.

Geranium Blooming Tip

Do This to Encourage Geraniums to Keep Blooming for Months

Want your geraniums to produce flowers for as long as possible? The secret isn’t a miracle fertilizer—it’s consistent care.

Deadhead regularly. As soon as a flower cluster begins to fade, remove the entire spent flower stalk. This prevents the plant from putting unnecessary energy into seed production and encourages it to produce new flowers.

Give geraniums plenty of sunlight, water them when the soil has partly dried rather than keeping it constantly soggy, and provide balanced fertilizer during active growth. Good drainage is especially important because constantly wet roots can lead to problems.

Regularly remove yellowing leaves and weak or overcrowded growth so the plant stays healthy and well-shaped.

With the right conditions, many geraniums can flower for a very long season—and some can continue flowering indoors when conditions remain favorable.

There is no guaranteed method that makes every geranium bloom continuously for more than a year, but sunlight + proper watering + feeding + regular deadheading gives you the best chance of prolonged flowering.
