Scratches on glasses: don’t waste money: apply a little and they’ll disappear instantly.

If you’re referring to the viral “one ingredient removes scratches from eyeglasses instantly” trick, be careful: there is no household substance proven to make genuine lens scratches disappear.

What you can do instead
Wash the lenses with lukewarm water and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Sometimes what looks like a scratch is simply residue.
Don’t use toothpaste, baking soda, glass polish, or abrasive cleaners. They can remove or damage lens coatings and make the problem worse.
If the scratch is genuinely in the lens, an optician can determine whether the lens needs replacing. Scratches generally can’t be safely polished out of modern prescription lenses because doing so can distort the optics.

If your glasses have an anti-reflective or other protective coating, DIY “scratch-removal” methods are particularly risky.
