3-Ingredient Chicken Glaze
Prep: 5 minutes Cook: 5 minutes Makes: Enough for about 1½–2 lb (700–900 g) chicken
Ingredients
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Mix: Whisk the honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice together in a small bowl.
- Cook the chicken: Prepare your chicken using your preferred method—grill, bake, or pan-sear—until it reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Glaze: During the final few minutes of cooking, brush the chicken generously with the glaze. Turn and brush again for a glossy coating.
- Reduce the remaining glaze: If you want extra sauce, pour unused glaze into a small saucepan and bring it to a full boil, then simmer until slightly thickened. Never reuse glaze that has touched raw chicken unless it is thoroughly cooked.
- Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then drizzle with the cooked glaze and serve.
Tip: The honey caramelizes quickly, so apply the glaze near the end rather than at the beginning. :::
