🌯 Tortilla Wraps

with Ground Beef

A quick, flavorful meal with seasoned beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings

—all wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 4–6 flour tortillas
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste or 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Optional: sliced onion, jalapeños, avocado, or pickles
  • Sour cream, yogurt, salsa, or hot sauce for serving

Method

  1. Cook the beef: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook for 2–3 minutes. Add garlic and ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Season: Cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, and tomato paste. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  3. Warm the tortillas: Heat each tortilla in a dry skillet for about 15–20 seconds per side.
  4. Build the wraps: Add a layer of beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and your favorite sauce.
  5. Fold: Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom.
  6. Optional crispy finish: Place the wraps seam-side down in a skillet and toast for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crisp.

🔥 Easy variation

For cheesy crispy beef wraps, put the cooked beef and cheese inside the tortilla, fold it into a rectangle, and air-fry at 190°C (375°F) for 5–7 minutes, turning once. Serve with salsa or garlic-yogurt sauce.
