🌯 Tortilla Wraps
with Ground Beef
A quick, flavorful meal with seasoned beef, melted cheese, and fresh toppings
—all wrapped in a warm tortilla.
Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 4–6 flour tortillas
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp tomato paste or 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella
- Lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- Optional: sliced onion, jalapeños, avocado, or pickles
- Sour cream, yogurt, salsa, or hot sauce for serving
Method
- Cook the beef: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook for 2–3 minutes. Add garlic and ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Season: Cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, and tomato paste. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
- Warm the tortillas: Heat each tortilla in a dry skillet for about 15–20 seconds per side.
- Build the wraps: Add a layer of beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and your favorite sauce.
- Fold: Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom.
- Optional crispy finish: Place the wraps seam-side down in a skillet and toast for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
🔥 Easy variation
For cheesy crispy beef wraps, put the cooked beef and cheese inside the tortilla, fold it into a rectangle, and air-fry at 190°C (375°F) for 5–7 minutes, turning once. Serve with salsa or garlic-yogurt sauce.
