🚨 “Clean 15 Kilograms of Waste From Your Colon in One Night” — Don’t Try This
Claims that 15 kilograms (33 lb) of waste is sitting in the colon and can be removed overnight are not medically credible. The colon normally contains stool and its contents are continuously processed and eliminated; there isn’t a typical hidden mass of “waste” waiting to be flushed out.
What about detox drinks and colon cleanses?
Products marketed as overnight colon cleanses—such as strong laxative mixtures, herbal “detox” drinks, enemas, or colonics—can cause diarrhea and temporary weight loss from water and stool, but they don’t remove 15 kg of toxins.
Overuse can cause:
- Dehydration
- Dangerous electrolyte disturbances
- Abdominal cramps and diarrhea
- Kidney problems
- Medication absorption problems
- Rarely, serious bowel complications
If you’re actually constipated
For ordinary constipation, safer measures include adequate fluids, gradually increasing dietary fiber, regular physical activity, and, when appropriate, an evidence-based laxative recommended by a healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Seek medical care promptly for severe or persistent abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, a swollen abdomen, blood in the stool, unexplained weight loss, or inability to pass stool or gas.
Bottom line: You don’t need an overnight “colon detox.” Your digestive system is not a storage tank full of kilograms of toxins, and aggressive cleansing can do more harm than good.
