Watch for these 8 warning signs:
Face drooping β One side of the face suddenly becomes numb or droops, especially when smiling.
Arm or leg weakness β Sudden weakness or numbness, particularly on one side of the body.
Speech problems β Slurred speech, difficulty speaking, or trouble understanding what others are saying.
Sudden confusion β A person may suddenly seem confused or unable to understand simple questions.
Vision changes β Sudden blurred, double, or lost vision in one or both eyes.
Loss of balance or coordination β Sudden dizziness, difficulty walking, or trouble coordinating movements.
A sudden, severe headache β Especially a severe headache with no obvious cause.
Sudden numbness β Unexpected numbness of the face, arm, or leg, particularly on one side.
