If by “mini-stroke” you mean
a transient ischemic attack (TIA), it is important to take the symptoms seriously. A TIA can look like a
stroke but may resolve within minutes or hours. You cannot reliably distinguish a TIA from a stroke at home.
5 warning signs

Sudden facial drooping or numbness — especially on one side.

Sudden weakness or numbness — particularly in one arm or leg, often affecting one side of the body.

Sudden speech problems — slurred speech, difficulty finding words, or difficulty understanding others.

Sudden vision changes — loss of vision, blurred vision, or double vision in one or both eyes.

Sudden loss of balance or coordination — difficulty walking, severe dizziness, or unexplained unsteadiness.
🚨 Remember FAST
F — Face drooping
A — Arm weakness
S — Speech difficulty
T — Time to call emergency services
Even if the symptoms completely disappear, urgent medical evaluation is still necessary because a TIA can precede a major stroke.
If these symptoms are happening now, don’t wait for them to pass and don’t drive yourself. Call your local emergency medical service and record the time the symptoms first appeared.
