Sweet, buttery, and ready in about 10 minutes, this skillet corn makes an easy side dish for almost any meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups corn kernels — fresh or frozen
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter: Place a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Add the corn: Stir in the corn and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot and tender.
  3. Add honey: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the honey and salt.
  4. Finish: Cook for another 1–2 minutes, stirring until the corn is glossy and coated in the honey-butter mixture.
  5. Serve immediately.

Tips

  • For frozen corn, you can add it straight to the skillet; just cook a couple of minutes longer if needed.
  • Want it more savory? Add a little black pepper or smoked paprika.
  • For extra Southern-style richness, use salted butter and adjust the added salt to taste.
