If you’re checking the claim โDo you urinate too much at night? Eat bananas this way,โ there isn’t good evidence that eating bananas in a particular way treats nocturia (waking during the night to urinate).
Bananas are nutritious and contain potassium, but they aren’t an established treatment for nighttime urination. Nocturia can have many causes, including excess evening fluids, caffeine or alcohol, overactive bladder, urinary infection, prostate enlargement, diabetes, kidney or heart problems, and sleep apnea.

Things that may actually help include:
Shift more of your fluid intake toward the morning and afternoon.
Avoid or reduce caffeine and alcohol, particularly in the evening.
Avoid drinking large amounts shortly before bedtime.
Don’t severely restrict fluids during the day, because dehydration can irritate the bladder.

If you’re regularly waking more than once or twice a night, or the problem is new, persistent, or accompanied by excessive thirst, pain/burning, blood in the urine, fever, or difficulty urinating, it’s worth getting evaluated rather than relying on a food remedy.
