Never uproot this plant if it appears in your garden.

That claim is usually referring to a specific “beneficial weed”, but without knowing the plant, it isn’t safe to say you should never remove it.

Some plants that frequently appear in these posts—such as dandelion, purslane, plantain, or nettle—can have ecological or culinary value. Others can be invasive, poisonous, or harmful to pets and children.

🌱 If you upload a photo of the plant, preferably showing the leaves, stem, flowers, and the whole plant, I can help identify it and explain:

Whether it’s beneficial or invasive
Whether it’s edible or potentially poisonous
Whether it has traditional/medicinal uses
Whether you should keep or remove it
How to handle it safely

Don’t eat or use an unidentified garden plant medicinally until it’s positively identified.
