If this is referring to an old household or kitchen tool, the safety advice depends entirely on what the object is. For example, some older tools may become unsafe because of damaged coatings, rust, electrical deterioration, contamination, or changes in modern safety standards—but that doesn’t mean every old version should automatically be discarded.
